Fundraising in the Canadian Museum Sector

This presentation will be a frank discussion about the state of fundraising, and fundraising supports, in the museum field in Canada. Drawing on original research published in February of this year, lived experience, conversations with practitioners, and other research, speaker Samantha Summers will dive into current realities of funding and fundraising and explore actionable avenues to help build stronger fundraising programs for museums of all sizes. Attendees will leave with ideas of how to move forward in fundraising, how to gain new skills and fundraising expertise, and how to engage their community in funding support.
